Hey all,
I’ve been haunting these pages since I had a toddler, she’s now on her way to college - time flies. I haven’t really done much other than talk about lunch and attempt to learn but nonetheless I’ve been around. I lost my pitbull of 14 years in September, I’m sure some have seen my pathetic posts. Two months ago I adopted a new puppy - I was told he would be less than 30lbs but nobody knew what he was. Looks like what I might have is a potentially large heeler mix... in a Southern California condo (he’s a rescue from Arkansas). I created a facebook page for him. Some of it is to keep his stuff off of other social media, but some of it is also to keep me in check with him. Not much to it yet but if you have dog pages and want to share, here’s my guy’s -

Puppies with eyebrow spots are the best of the best.
Heelers aren’t that big. And they want to follow directions, and make sure that the pack is all good.
You’ll be fine.
Happy lunching, I hope.

He’s 35 lbs at 4.5 months so he’s not full heeler. Thanks about the lunch, my favorite part of the workday!

Awww, what a good pup ! I’ve already gushed over what a beautiful boy I think he is, so I’ll try to restrain myself, but really: I think you’ve made an excellent choice. I’m gonna be looking for a new dog in about a month, and honestly Jackson looks very close to the dream dog I have in my head.
If you don’t mind sharin’, which part of SoCal are you in? I’m down in Irvine in about a month and I’ll have a Fiata Abarth when I’m around, and if you wanted to meet up I’d love to say hi to Jackson in person.

If it weren't for dog posts i would not have any presence to speak of on other social media.

He’s about half-grown at 4.5 months. He might get up to 70 lbs.

I am in the northern part of San Diego county. I have an Escape and a Jetta. Would love to meet up but be warned - I am not a dude, I’m an eccentric early (I hope) middle aged woman . I wanted to be a mechanic but ended up a software engineer.

Oh perfect! The 74 is a drive I was recommended before that I didn’t have time for the last time, and I could probably work that in to a drive down towards San Diego. Your being a woman doesn’t change things for me.
I’m in Irvine the last week of Feb. Why don’t you drop me a line at dlp@aperiodic.org and we can work out the deets.

I’m gonna be in OC from Feb the 25th through the 28th.
I have this silly goal of visiting every latitude of CA (on the ground), and the only part of it I have left is from OC down to Tijuana, so meeting up with a San Diegan is a perfect excuse to complete that. On Tue, Wed, or Thu of that week, I’ll have a team dinner that will preclude me from coming down, but Mon or one of those other three days I’d be able to make it. LMK if any of those work for you.
